Bruce Willis in Second Lifeuploaded 3rd June, 2007

Another one of those unwanted media attention things or cool event? I’m not sure. I wouldn’t want to use “cool” to describe anything anyway. I digress.

Bruce Willis (aka John McClane) appeared in Second Life yesterday for a one-off exclusive (press-only) in-world interview, to promote the fourth Die Hard film in the series: Live Free or Die Hard (aka Die Hard 4.0). Though I wasn’t at the event personally, a friend who helped build some of Bruce’s avatar’s outfit was, and they sent me the above pic.

Bruce answered questions via an audio stream played through the in-world media player. The location the event took place at is now open to everyone, and has some Die Hard-related freebies as part of the promotion. It’s over at the Silverscreen sim.

I asked my friend to ask him if he thought coming to Second Life was a waste of time. Whether or not he answered the question directly, he apparently said “No.”
